Arrival and Dismissal Procedure Map

RACS: Required Assignment Completion Session
A student must take part in a RACS if he/she has three or more missing assignments, three tardies in a quarter or if he/she fails to return any "mild consequence" writing assignments the day after they are received. RACS is from 3:15-4:15 pm. If your child needs to attend a RACS, someone in the school office will notify you at least 24 hours in advance. Thank you for your help in holding your student accountable for their assignments and behavior.

School Facebook Page:
Our school Facebook name is "Arthur Mustangs". This page is used as an information source. We post reminders about school events and try to answer generic questions that will benefit all that see them. Please do not use this forum for expressing any concerns you may have about school or to ask specific questions about your student. The school office or your student's classroom teacher should be contacted for these types of concerns/questions. We do limit our Facebook "friends" to primary caregivers, so students or extended family will not be accepted as "friends." Our intention is to have a secure page and so you do have to "friend" request the page versus just "liking" the page.

Terracycle Fundraiser:
We are still collecting items to be recycled through Terracycle.  We earn money for our school.  Items can be dropped off in your student’s classroom.
Items being collected:
Juice pouches
Chip bags
Cookie wrappers, including the inside plastic tray
Plastic storage containers

We will be accepting applications for the 10-11 school year beginning on January 1, 2010. The first phase will close on April 1st. All other classes, 1st-5th, for the 2010-11 school year will have an on–going waiting list. You may fill out an application on line.

You are welcome to come by and observe a class. If you are interested in stopping by please call 503-252-3753.

Dress code is navy or khaki pants/skirts with navy or white collared shirts. Please label all coats with your child's name.

David Douglas School hours for 2011/2012

K: 8:15-11:45

1st - 5th: 8:15-3:00

School get's out at 11:45 am on half-days. Student may come to school 15 minutes prior to class. Students may not be on playground prior to or after school on the playground unsupervised.
